
The game seems to load new parts of the map as you cross particular boundaries - frequently arches and gates in Luxerion and certain stairways in Yusnaan - and the console versions I think still have sizable framerate drops in those particular locations too. The performance issues in cities and whatnot are present in the console versions too.

(Maybe you can mod this version though? I dunno) So far, it seems okay, but not really worth getting over the Steam version, since you can mod the latter with a bunch of goodies nowadays like higher-res textures, FMVs, better character models, the original Xbox or PlayStation button prompts, etc. I haven't tried running vanilla Steam FF13 on my current setup before (I always use FF13Fix), so I don't know if they actually fixed the problems or my current machine can just brute force the game without issue or something.

The controller button prompts are still grey instead of being colored like they were in the Xbox console version.
